The Pathfinder Adventure Card Game: Skull & Shackles- The Raiders of the Fever Sea Adventure Deck Review

PZO6012_500

The Pathfinder Adventure Card Game: Skull & Shackles- The Raiders of the Fever Sea Adventure Deck is published by Paizo Publishing. It adds new locations, monsters, villains, loot, ship to ship sea battles and 5 new scenarios that make up the Raiders of the Fever Sea adventure path. This is based on the Pathfinder RPG adventure of the same name. There is a lot of pirating goodness included with this deck. Enough to keep you busy for awhile. These scenarios will help you to level up your character and provide new adventures to play.

For how to play, check out the base game review here.

COMPONENTS
This expansion adds an extra 110 new cards to the base game. As with the base set and character add-on deck, the artwork is amazing. Once again, the theme is very much a part of each card and adventure that is included here. Everything looks and feels very nice. This will add a lot of new stuff that will help you to further customize your characters even more.

RULEBOOK
There is no rulebook included with this expansion. All rules needed to play are provided in the base game.

GAMEPLAY
Just like the first Adventure deck in the base game, this provides a lot of fun. It follows in line with the original RPG. The villains are more dastardly and the level of excitement and difficulty increase just a little bit more. The addition of several rare loot cards make it worth spending the time going through those locations a bit more. Like the Wormwood Mutiny deck included with the base set, this is quite enjoyable.

OVERALL
The Raiders of the Fever Sea Adventure Deck is a great addition to a an already great expanding and customizable game. This is a lot of fun and will add quite a bit more for anyone that already enjoys the game. It continues to add more cards to customize not only your characters but your experience as well. It’s really enjoyable and the ship to ship combat is highlighted really well in this deck. The rare loot cards are must haves for any deck. I highly recommend that you pick this one up once the newness wears off of the base set adventure.
